Reminiscent of Alien and Event Horizon, Pandorum overcomes its laser tag and neon lights look with a surprisingly smart and chilling story. Go see it.

It's unfortunate that Pandorum only opened at number 6 at the box office, earning like a 10th of its budget. I heard Dennis Quaid mention the idea of sequels and a Star Wars type franchise/mythology, but unless the flick rakes in mucho dollars on DVD, I'm not sure it's going to happen now. I still want to see the flick though!

It was awesome. Agree with the laser tag look but hey, you can't have everything. I'll settle for a slightly generic interesting/good scifi movie over nothing (gi joe part deux) any day.
