The first trailer has been released for the upcoming remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. And while remakes/re-imaginings/reboots of great horror films are usually a waste of time, this one doesn't look half bad. Peep the trailer above.

For some reason, I'm not as averse t a Freddy sequel as others we've seen. Not sure why, maybe because with Krueger's sense of humor, his character hasn't fully worn out its pop culture status as maybe the more stoic Jason and Michael. I don't know. Hopefully this will be a decent remake.

ugh. i'm kind of excited just because of jackie haley but i don't have high hopes for this. might be interesting if they flesh out the whole backstory of freddy being a pervert or whatever, but i doubt they will put that much effort into it. something else to see besides another Saw movie though!
