After being acquired by Paramount following a successfully terrifying screening at the Telluride Film Festival, indie-spook darling Paranormal Activity has a cool new trailer for all to look at. In the flick, one made on a shoestring of $11,000, sees an otherwise happy couple become haunted by a string of strange phenomena in their new house.
The films wrieter/director, Oren Peli, based his simple yet devastatingly effective haunted house tale on happenings of his own. In fact, he shot the flick in his own pad, using practical unknown actors who are said to bring a purity, an honesty to their roles, making the flick that much more eerie.
