With the supposition that originality is dead in the horror genre (just check the reviews of The Unborn below), that sentiment is nearly made official with the remake of perhaps the grimiest, most naturalistic horror flick to come around, The Last House on the Left. The original was created by two of the most influential horror orchestrators you may have heard of, one is Wes Craven, the other Sean Cunningham (Friday the 13th). With their apparent blessing, a dubious revisit to the Last House already has a trailer cut for the masses, with the film to hit theaters sometime in 2009. Directed by Dennis Lliadis (his sophomore effort after Hardcore), and written by first timer Adam Alleca and Carl Ellsworth (Red Eye, Disturbia) - the new house will be inhabited by Sara Paxton, Monica Potter, Garret Dillahunt and Tony Goldwyn. Here's the trailer!
