In what is probably a direct result of the rash of inept policies leading to a failed war on drugs - increasing amounts of the most savage violence, brutality, even barbarous fatality have perpetuated between drug cartels out to secure their own smuggle routes and economic territories. Border cities like Tijauna and Baja have been ravaged with kidnappings, beheadings, bodies dipped in acid, lit ablaze; some even slaughtered and dumped in public forums. It's utter madness!

In one of the most recent cases (3 days ago), it was reported than 9 human heads were found sprawled outside of a factory in Tijauna. The corresponding bodies were strewn out beside the heads, indiscernible. Despite Mexican president Felipe Calderon deploying 40,000 troops and a grip of federal police officers to combat the problem, there is just no way this type of hellish reality is going to cease anytime soon. It's stories like this that remind us all how truly fucked up and horrifying the world can be. On that note, happy holidays!

I live in El Paso, TX right across the border is Juarez, MX and Juarez is worse than TJ. It's on pace to have 1,500 murders for 2008.
