Word on the street is, after a creative chasm between French directors Julien Maury, Alexandre Bustillo (Inside) and the powers that be, the door has shot open to allow Rob Zombie to reprise his duty of directing the much vaunted Halloween sequel (a sequel of his 2007 remake). Not only that, but it seems the project was originally touted for a straight to DVD release, yet since has mustered enough support and enthrallment to have a theatrical run green lit. Filming is mouthed to commence sometime in March, reportedly with Tyler Mane ripping a Mr. Myers encore. No script details have been disseminated at this point, nor come to think of it, has any on Zombie's much anticipated prehistoric-exploitation flick T-Rex. Stay posted!

I wasn't crazy about Rob Zombie's Halloween, but I thought it was vastly better than The Devil's Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses and Zombie's directing chops seem to be improving.

Hopefully Malcolm McDowell will sign on for Halloween 2... or did he die at the end of the first one?
