Don't know killatron. Seems kind of stupid to me too. I'm happy with with current origins of the mask: the fat kid from Friday the 13th Part III dropping his hockey mask after being killed by Jason. A more elaborate "origin" to his mask might turn out to be quite bad.

I just hope they don't try to make it so that little Jason tried out for ice hockey at one point in time but couldn't make the team due to his obvious disability. And now he's getting revenge on the jocks and cheerleader types of the world who didn't let him into their world.

Is Voorhees wearing a coat with a furry hoot? No, I'm not kidding. Look at the high-res version of the photo and you'll see what I'm talking about. He's donning thug gear. Or maybe not.

On another note, did you know that the "Ch Ch Ch Ah Ah Ah" sound effect of the Friday the 13th series when Jason is on the prowl originally was spoken as "Ki Ki Ki Ma Ma Ma" as in Kill Kill Kill Ma Ma Ma.

Yeah, it was supposed to represent the voice(Jason's)that Mrs. Voorhees heard in her head, prompting her to kill.
Interesting fact: In the Nightmare on elm st and Friday the thirteenth "killer trivia" game the follwing question was asked: What sound can be heard whenever Jason was looming?
A:"Cha cha ,shi shi? B:Ma ma, ki ki? C:Ha ha, ki ki? or D:Sha sha, ma ma? After reading that on the back of one of the cards, I didn't even bother to play the game. Who does the research for these things? Any way,don't care for Jason's new look. He looks like an idiot in that damn coat. They just had to stick with the Freddy VS Jason look, huh.

In addition to Jason's (possibly furry-hooded) coat, he's also looking rather frail. Jason's supposed to be a big, menacing dude. Hopefully he packs on some muscle before the conclusion of this new movie.

BTW, I've heard and read the actual sound syllables in the Friday the 13th movies is Ki-ki-ki, ma-ma-ma - but somehow came out sounding like Ch-ch-ch, ha-ha-ha. Eff Michael Bay, Voorhees for life!

I agree with the big muscular jason doesent he squeeze at least one persons head until it pops in every movie. The belt around a tree is one of my favorite along with bashing sleeping bags against a tree all classics and all requireing a bit of strength.

Perhaps(hopefully) that isn't Jason. Maybe it is the boyfriend of the girl in the water, trying to scare her. Maybe that's how Jason gets the mask in this one. Yeah, the same way he got it from Shelly in part three.

I haven't been into the Friday the 13th movies in a long time, but I used to love them. In Jason Lives when they started with the supernatral crap I kinda lost interest. Hopefully this one will be better? lol
